You’re buying a home with home security alarms
A new house may come with an existing home security system. All the alarms and cameras function well, are hung in the best areas, and are ready to go. In this instance, just turn on the phone to call and set up a new service contract. A Vivint installer will still show up to make sure there are no integration issues, and they may offer options on upgrades. It's a preliminary trip, and you can have your alarm monitoring set up without worrying about any new components -- unless you add on.
The outgoing homeowners can transfer an existing Vivint contract to your family for a nominal set-up cost to make the transfer easier. If the previous owners are moving to a condo or smaller home, turning over the home security service might be a part of the sale.
You need to move and take your home security components with you
You may need to take your favorite home security components with you to a new place when you move. That’s fairly simple to do, as modern smart devices are portable. You can uninstall each component by yourself or call a professional expert to come and dismantle the system. Then our installers will hang the same components -- and any smart items you want to add -- in the new place. Your home security contract will stay the same.
